Carl Bernstein said that “the lowest form of popular culture – lack of information, misinformation, disinformation, and a contempt for the truth or the reality of most people’s lives – has overrun real journalism. Today, ordinary Americans are being stuffed with garbage.” The original purpose of journalism and media is to hold accountable those in positions of power and get to the truth with an absence of bias, agenda, or corporate influence. Yet the legacy media today serves only to feed the people simplistic narratives that avoid backlash from viewers and sponsors. The truth is inherently uncomfortable, and our goal at the International Informants is to serve as a beacon of free speech, free flow of information, and the traditional values of the press.
